All too frequently veterans are unable to prevent entering the County's homeless population. Circle the City is integral to providing health care services for homeless individuals and families, including veterans, throughout Maricopa County.
Circle the City offers holistic integrated care for individuals experiencing homelessness, meeting the patient’s medical, social, emotional, spiritual needs and has the only medical respite program for those experiencing homelessness in the state of Arizona. The following health care services are offered for the most vulnerable individuals in our community.

Find Help Phoenix
Maricopa County Public Health sponsors the Find Help Phoenix site intended to serve as a one stop resource center for locating free and low-cost health and social services. Their site compiles all types of resources and includes map references to all listed resources.
Veterans Crisis Line
The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that’s available to anyone, even if you’re not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care. The caring, qualified responders at the Veterans Crisis Line are specially trained and experienced in helping veterans of all ages and circumstances.

beconnected
beconnected is a 24/7 help and support line that connects Arizona service members, veterans, families and helpers to information, support and resources. Veterans can call the beconnected line at 1-866-4AZ-VETS (1-866-429-8387) to receive personalized resource matching and navigation support.
Coordinated Social Service Events
Veterans’ StandDown events are one to three-day events that bring together the State's homeless and at-risk military veterans, connecting them with and critical supportive services to help them gain and maintain housing stability. Animal Care
Maricopa County Animal Care and Control offers many pet-related services to the citizens of Maricopa County; some at low or no cost. For a list of upcoming events see the Calendar of Events.
Adoption: Prospective owners can browse through photos of the animals available for adoption or visit the two adoption locations to view the animals in person and get a feel for their personality.
Spay/Neuter: Animal Care and Control partners with several groups to provide spay/neuter services. You can find a list of clinics that provide affordable spay/neuter services by visiting the Fix.Adopt.Save website.
Other Services: Animal Care and Control also offers rabies vaccinations and pet microchipping services.
Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)
TAPS offers compassionate care to all those grieving the loss of a loved one who died while serving in the Armed Forces or as a result of his or her service. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24/7 through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
