Permit Engineering

The Air Quality Permit Engineering Division is responsible for reviewing applications for Title V, Non-Title V and General permits. We have provided focused pages for these respective areas as well as permit application forms and informational documents to assist citizens with permit-related inquiries.

What is an Air Quality Permit?


 A permit is a written authorization to build, install and/or operate equipment that emits, or controls, the emissions of air contaminants such as:

 
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO)
  • Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs)
  • Lead (Pb)
  • Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)
  • Particulate Matter (PM10 or PM2.5)
  • Sulfur Oxides (SOx)
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
