The office of the Ombudsman was created to provide additional support to citizens with unresolved concerns. The Ombudsman is a neutral agent, who will field concerns, provide information, mediate conflict and investigate complaints. The Ombudsman will strive to improve information exchange and coordination between staff and interested parties.
Although the Ombudsman may offer a recommendation, the office has no authority to render a decision or reverse a decision made by staff. All referrals or contacts are documented in order to identify areas of improvement.
