Maricopa County Department of Public Health has confirmed four additional presumptive positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Maricopa County to eight to date. "Presumptive positive" cases are those that have tested positive at one laboratory and are awaiting confirmation by a second laboratory.
The cases are:
- A male in his 20s, who is recovering in isolation at home
- A female in her 70s, who is recovering in isolation at home
- A male in his 80s, who is recovering in isolation at home
- A male in his 80s, who is hospitalized
MCDPH is currently investigating these cases to identify close contacts of each one and make recommendations to prevent further spread.
